mesh is not a one size fits all…

Due to the wide variety of ways mesh can be installed, we can only provide a proper quote specifically for you through an in person consultation.

During your consultation we will go over your specific hair needs and goals and will create a custom plan made just for you!

  • Initially I always ask for clients to return after 4 weeks. If the client is coping well with their system and their scalp is in good  condition I would then go 5 weeks increasing it slowly up to a maximum of 8... Most clients will want to return after 6 as the system will start to loosen as the clients natural hair grows.

  • The closure on the top of your system will generally wear quicker than the wefts of hair underneath. A client can have anything from 2/6 closures during their systems life! It really depends on how the client looks after their hair and how much heat styling and other elements the system is put through. It’s very easy to replace a closure you simply unstitch it from the mesh and refit a new one at your maintenance app.

  • A blonde hair system can last up to 6 months or maybe even a little longer! A brunette system will last 6-9 months or longer. It really does depend on the quality of hair used and how the system is looked after.

  • You may initially feel some slight discomfort, this is normal. That said you are ALWAYS welcome to come to you so you can check that everything is ok that nothing is pulling or putting pressure on the clients scalp or natural hair. Usually any discomfort will subside in the first few days.

  • You will be given an aftercare sheet with instructions on how to look after their system. The main thing to remember is to not treat it to vigorously. Be very gentle and always ensure through rinsing.

  • While light to medium gym use should not affect the system swimming is not recommend. The chlorine will affect the condition of the system and regular expose will cause damage.  Heavy exercise may also affect the color and lasting quality of the system.

  • The breathable mesh will promote hair growth under the system. That said this would also depend on the clients reason for hair loss. For example if the area of hair loss was caused by radiotherapy then it’s unlikely that the natural hair will grow again. If the hair loss was caused by damage caused by over processed hair or  Trichotillomania then there is a good chance that the hair will start to restore and grow under the system.

  • Whilst your system is in place the natural shedding of your own hair cannot take place. When the system is removed and refitted there will be some matting and hair loss this is perfectly normal. The hair loss is the natural hair that could not get away while the small rings and mesh are in position. I always think of it as tiny ponytails keeping the hair in place until they are removed and then the hair is free to come away and be washed and combed leaving a lovely fresh base to refit your system too.

  • No... The Mesh integration system is suitable for clients with up to 70% hair loss. The reason for this is that the system uses your own natural hair to connect to the mesh creating a base to then sew your hair onto. Your hair must be stable before fitting a system and not “live” meaning when gently pulled the hair is NOT coming away from the scalp. If you are unsure if your hair is suitable I would highly recommend confirmation from a GP or a Trichologist
